Gorazd Lampič, Elaphe CEO, held a talk on Smart Systems Integration and the underlying European Technology platform at the European Robotics Forum (March 21 – 23, 2016), presenting the industry-driven policy initiative which deals with defining R&D and innovation needs as well as policy requirements related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated Micro-and Nanosystems Initiative (ECSEL JTI).

Smart Systems combine cognitive functions with sensing, actuation, data communication, and energy management in an integrated way to provide safe and reliable autonomous operation under all relevant circumstances. A big part of this effort are connected and autonomous cars, driver assistance systems, smart charging, and smart propulsion systems, such as Elaphe electric in-wheel motors and powertrain.
