In-wheel technology was one of the highlights of this pioneering expo this year.<\/p>\n<p>We hope you had the chance to drop by and come\u00a0say hello. In case you missed it, we\u00a0officially launched\u00a0the second generation Elaphe\u2122 L1500 in-wheel motor at the show. With more than 6000 people visiting on the second day, the audience\u00a0was great to talk to about the mobility industry (an industry, formerly know as the automotive industry <img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/d7e2def41d4abf6d95fe1fc43\/images\/995d4310-8872-4b5d-80d2-d493c0072377.png\" alt=\"Image result for tonguesmiley\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" data-file-id=\"5581553\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 20px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 20\/20;\" \/>).<\/p>\n<p>Elaphe keynote on\u00a0<span class=\"ng-binding\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebatteryshow.eu\/conference\/conference-agenda?track=3&amp;day=2#a4Y3A000000uHUkUAM\">Advancing Multiple-Motor Traction Powertrain with Intelligent Functionalities<\/a>\u00a0was extremely well-received. So well, in fact, that\u00a0it kept our biz dev team fully occupied by\u00a0the crowds at our booth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/d7e2def41d4abf6d95fe1fc43\/images\/bd88d410-06f5-426d-bcf0-91707de2644a.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" data-file-id=\"5581521\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/398;\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Anything else interesting going on?<\/h4>\n<p>We hope you also had a chance to participate on any\u00a0of the very\u00a0superb panel discussions at the\u00a0Electric &amp; Hybrid Vehicle Technology Conference or at the Battery Show conference.<\/p>\n<p>What caught our eye was also a very interesting session for direct-drive technology (in-wheel falls into this category) &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evtechexpo.eu\/conference\/conference-agenda?track=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Direct Drive vs Motor Transmission<\/a>.\u00a0We must commend the conference organizers, they really work hard to keep the topics very relevant to the industry. And we were very excited to share the our advancements with Thomas (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dana.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dana Corp<\/a>.), Mihai (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaton.com\/us\/en-us.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eaton<\/a>) and Joseph (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uqm.com\/English\/home\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UQM Tech.<\/a>) and discuss the guts of different technologies and their relevance for the next generation of mobility.<\/p>\n<h4>So, what&#8217;s next?<\/h4>\n<p>We also hope you had the chance not to miss another interesting topic &#8211; the panel discussion on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebatteryshow.eu\/conference\/conference-agenda?track=3&amp;day=2#a4Y3A000000uHUkUAM\">\u00a0<span class=\"ng-binding\">Design Opportunities and Challenges of Electric and Autonomous Vehicles,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ng-binding\">Connected and Automated Car and its Impact on EV Design<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Do give you a short rundown, in case you missed the talk &#8211; as panelists we gave our best to share our understanding of the impact of autonomous driving on EVs.
