At chassis.tech plus 2025, our Vehicle Motion Control Team Lead, Tomaž Kompara, presented Elaphe’s latest innovation: high-frequency slip control enabled by our direct-drive in-wheel motor (IWM) architecture.

Unlike conventional EVs that face sensor lag and drivetrain slack, Elaphe’s IWM-based system operates with kHz-rate sensing and delivers an exceptional 500 Nm/ms torque response — redefining what’s possible in motion control.
📈 Proven Results:
During winter testing, we demonstrated 15% faster acceleration on snow/ice with 15% lower battery peak power! All with the same tires and vehicle weight as the OEM reference vehicle.
🧪 Tested on a full-size EV across mixed-μ surfaces, the system showed how software-defined motion can unlock a new level of traction, safety, and driving confidence.
